Tubby lands second recruit of 2013 class

Alex Foster, a 6-8 power forward from Chicago, will join Alvin Ellis in Tubby Smith’s 2013 recruiting class.
Foster, A three-star recruit, garnered interest from several other Big Ten schools, including Wisconsin and Northwestern.
A ball hog off the glass, he averaged more than 10 rebounds a game last season while putting up close to 14 points.
He has some good length and should be a positive addition to the defensive game plan of the Gophers.
Ellis and Foster played together at De La Salle Institute in Chicago before Foster transferred to nearby Seton Academy.
