Maryland joins Big Ten, Rutgers next?

The University of Maryland voted today to leave the Atlantic Coast Conference and join the Big Ten Conference starting in the 2014-15 school year.

The Terps will be the 13th university in the conference and the second school to join in the last two years.

Rutgers University of the Big East Conference will announce on Tuesday that they will also join the Big Ten as the 14th member.

The University of Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011 after leaving the Big 12.
