Gopher women’s hockey Goalkeeper Noora Raty and forward Hannah Brandt were named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively on Wednesday.

Raty allowed one goal in a weekend sweep of the Wisconsin Badgers en route to her 100th career win, tying her with the all-time record. She also recorded her 36th career shutout on Friday, which is just four shutouts shy from breaking another NCAA record.

Brandt scored two goals and added two assists in the weekend series in Madison and has now received the award six times this year.

The 26-0-0 Gophers can clinch the WCHA regular season title this weekend versus Minnesota-Duluth and are just two points shy from doing so.

The first game in the home series is Friday at 6 p.m. The second game will be played on Saturday and will be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network beginning at 2:30 p.m.
