The Gopher women’s basketball team couldn’t bring the momentum off a win at home against Michigan to Nebraska on Sunday as Minnesota lost 80-56.

Minnesota committed 19 turnovers in the loss, including four turnovers from sophomore guard Rachel Banham, who had scored 69 points in the last two games combined.

Banham only had 11 points for the Gophers on 5-for-13 shooting as she and Micaella Riche were the only visiting players with double-digit point totals.

The Cornhuskers had five players in double-digits, including forward Jordan Hooper, who scored 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The Gophers have lost five of their last six games and are 3-6 in the conference. They will host Iowa Thursday night at Williams Arena.
