Multiple outlets touched on the struggles of former Gopher football quarterback/wide receiver MarQueis Gray last week as he practiced at the The Texas vs. The Nation All-Star game in Allen, Texas.

Gray, who reportedly has been invited to the NFL Combine, practiced at tight end, a position perhaps more suitable for a six-foot-four, 240 lbs player with uncontested athletic ability.

Yet the Indianapolis native dropped several passes thrown to him by Tulane’s Ryan Griffin and generally looked out of place on the field, according to one report.

As a Gopher, Gray accumulated 2,053 yards passing with 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions along with 1,1731 rushing yards as a dual threat quarterback  He also notched 60 receptions at wide receiver for 766 yards and six touchdowns.
