Tubby and the Gophers do a little dance after beating No. 20 Wisconsin

After defeating their rival, the Wisconsin Badgers, Tubby Smith decides to remind his team that it’s Valentine’s Day before breaking it down. Don’t turn away until you see Trevor Mbakwe’s appearance near the end of the 34-second clip.

Looks like all is well in Tubby Town (at least it was on Valentine’s Day) as everybody gets in on the action, even sophomore bench-warmer Kendal Shell who is seen momentarily doing the dougie.

Other notes from this video:

– Did you see Eliot Eliason jump up and down? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a big man so happy before, flaring his arms like he just got told he’s going to Disney World.

– If I had my guess at who the best dancer is on the Gophers, I would suggest Andre Ingram.

– The worst? Oto Osenieks (check out that fist pumping action at the end).

– Mbakwe would be the man to pick up Tubby and put him on his shoulder.

– Love how the assistant coaches get in on the action as well.

This looks like a team that’s destined for a great March, not a team that just fell out of the top 25. But hey, I have nothing to complain about — this video has already made up for all six losses the Gophers have sustained in the Big Ten this season, at least for me.

Whatever happens with the Gophers this year, this video is going into the all-time highlight reel vault for Tubby Smith and the Golden Gophers.
