The NFL Draft ended on Saturday and for the third straight year, no one from the Gophers heard his named called.

But despite the results of the draft, two Gophers will have a shot to make an NFL roster as MarQueis Gray and Troy Stoudermire were signed as undrafted free agents on Saturday.

Gray, who had the best shot among Gophers declared for this year’s draft, announced via Twitter that he had signed with the San Francisco 49ers.

A quarterback and wide receiver in college, it is not clear what Gray will play as, but he also worked out at tight end during the combine. Stoudermire, the Big Ten’s all-time kick return leader, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a cornerback.

Iowa State offensive tackle Carter Bykowski, an Eden Prairie High School graduate, is also headed to the 49ers after being drafted in the 7th round at 246 overall.
