Gophers To Play Wake Forest In ACC/Big Ten Challenge

The Golden Gopher’s basketball schedule is coming into focus. It has recently been announced that as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge the Gophers will take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The game will be on Tuesday, December 2 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The game in December will be the seventh meeting between Minnesota and Wake Forest. The series currently stands at 3-3. The last meeting of the two teams was in 2006 during the opening round of the NIT when the Gophers beat the Demon Deacons at The Barn.
The Gophers have won their last three games in the Challenge including last season’s victory over the Florida State Seminoles. Minnesota is 7-8 all time in the Challenge.
All games of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be on the ESPN family of networks. Here is the whole slate of games:

Also announced is a Big East/Big Ten tipoff series. More details to come on that.
