The Minnesota Golden Gophers will welcome the No. 2-ranked Texas Christian Horned Frogs to TCF Bank Stadium on Thursday night, on the first night of college football action for the 2015 season. After a 30-7 loss to the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth early last season, the Gophers will try to hang tough in the rematch with the backdrop of home field advantage.

The trio of Pasch, Griese and Luginbill is definitely not one of ESPN’s top college football broadcast teams, but with a full slate of games coming on the first Saturday of the season that could be expected.
If the Gophers can pull a big upset over the Horned Frogs, or just make things interesting deep into the fourth quarter, they will grab plenty of national attention going forward.
