The Minnesota Golden Gophers’ football team evened their record at 1-1 with an overtime victory over Colorado State last week, and this Saturday brings the first of back-to-back home games against teams from the Mid-American Conference (MAC).

Kent State is also 1-1 so far this season, after a 45-13 win over Delaware State last Saturday. The Golden Flashes faced a Big Ten team in their season opener, and they went home with a 52-3 loss to Illinois.

Here’s your guide for Saturday’s game, which is slated to kickoff just after 11 a.m. Central Time.

Point Spread: Minnesota (-24)
Over/Under: 46.5

Minnesota is expected to easily beat Kent State, particularly with home field advantage in their corner, and the point spread reflects that. Reaching the over-under should largely be driven by Minnesota’s offensive production, with Kent State unlikely to find much success against a very good Gophers’ defense.

Television: Big Ten Network

Radio (Minnesota): KFAN 100.3 FM-Gopher Radio Network
Announcers: Mike Grimm (play-by-play), Darrell Thompson (analyst), Justin Gaard (sideline)

Radio (Kent State)- 640 WHLO AM/Golden Flashes Radio
Announcers: Ty Linder (play-by-play), Rob Polinsky (analyst), Matt Miller (sideline)

This game is alongside Michigan/UNLV among the Big Ten Network’s early games on Saturday, so what was already going to be a fairly regional audience will be diminished by the intrigue and attention surrounding Wolverines’ head coach Jim Harbaugh. The Gophers should easily beat Kent State, so even the most interested fans in each local market might be switching channels at some point in the second half.
