Kill Suffers Seizure Following Northwestern

The story for Minnesota after the 21-13 loss against Northwestern is not about what happened on the field.  After coach Jerry Kill spoke to media after the loss Saturday, he suffered a seizure in the coach’s locker room.

He was rushed to the hospital and will stay there Saturday for further testing.

According to a new release by the athletic department, Kill was transported to a hospital as a precaution.

As most people will remember, Kill suffered a seizure late in the fourth quarter last season against New Mexico State. The coach suffers from epilepsy and has recurring issues with seizures.  He takes medication to subside the seizures.

“He is currently alert and resting comfortably.”

No further updates will be given on Saturday, but more will be available within the coming days. If Kill is to miss extended time, defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys is in line to take over the team during practice.
