A day after suffering a “minor” seizure an hour after the home loss against Northwestern on Saturday, Gophers football coach Jerry Kill was released from the hospital.
Kill plans to be back at work on Monday, however there is not a scheduled practice until Tuesday.
No players witnessed the incident and defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys said if the seizure had occurred at home, Kill would have probably not gone to the hospital.
It doesn’t sound like the seizure was as severe as the ones that occurred last season, especially during the end of the game against New Mexico State, but as some have eluded to on Twitter, the stress of the game could be a factor.
Contrasting the weather between last year’s incident with this year’s, the temperature was in the upper 70s and dry on September 10, 2011. There was light rain and temperatures in the 50s during Saturday’s game.
The Gophers play the Badgers in the annual Border Battle in Madison on Saturday.
