The Gopher Men’s Basketball team soundly defeated American University Friday night, holding them to 36 points. Monday night, they look to do the same against Toledo.
With Friday’s win, coach Tubby Smith currently sits at 491 wins in his career and could reach 500 wins by mid-December.
Tonight’s game will be the third meeting with the University of Toledo. The last meeting between the two teams was in 1989, which resulted in a Gopher victory.
Tubby Smith is 13-0 against Mid-American Conference teams and will look to get win No. 492.
Junior guard Austin Hollins will look to continue his career-high performance against American in which he scored 20 points and added five steals.
Tip-off is at 7 p.m. at Williams Arena.
