In the end, A.J. Barker got what he wanted. The ostracized former Gopher wide receiver who thrashed Jerry Kill on social media after calling it quits will play for the University of Houston.

This, according to his brother Ross, a former Badger walk-on, who spoke with the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

"“He’s super excited now that he has a coach that truly believes he’s the real deal…he’s gonna do great. I’m excited for him. It’s a great opportunity.”"

This may or may not have come as a surprise. The redshirt junior from St. Paul displayed talent in eight games this season with 577 yards and 7 touchdowns, but some questioned who would try to recruit a player that has problems working with superiors.
