University of Minnesota Golden Gophers wrestling coach J Robinson will not travel with the team to compete against Ohio State and Indiana over the weekend because of a knee infection.
Minnesota, currently ranked No. 3 in the nation, is scheduled to face No. 5 Ohio State on Friday and Indiana on Sunday.
The Gophers are 8-1 overall this season and undefeated in the conference with a 2-0 record.
Robinson, in his 27th year as head coach, became Minnesota’s all-time winningest coach. He has a 396-130-4 record.
Robinson’s absences from this weekend’s competition will be the first time the coach has missed a match in his coaching career, according to Gopher Sports.
