Rau’s hat trick part of Gopher rout over Seawolves

Sophomore Kyle Rau had his first career hat trick in a 7-1 win over Alaska-Anchorage Saturday night at Mariucci Arena.

Rau has 13 goals on the season as the Gophers extended their unbeaten streak to eight games following yesterday’s last minute 4-3 win

Defenceman Nate Schmidt also had a career-high four assists — two of them to Rau as the Gophers outshot the Seawolves 31 to 13.

Minnesota at 16-3-3 overall, will open a home series next weekend against North Dakota.
