The Gopher women’s basketball team is off to their best start since 2005-06 with a 13-4 record. Sunday, they play host to Nebraska and the team wants fans to be there.
Head coach Pam Borton announced she will donate $1,000 to five charities should attendance at Williams Arena on Sunday surpass 5,000 fans. The charities are: the Ann Bancroft Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Twin Cities, Urban Ventures, Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Animal Humane Society.
Fans can take advantage of a deal to get into the game — $10 will buy a pair of tickets and a $5 concession voucher.
The game will be a “white out” as fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.
