Gopher Volleyball third in national attendance

Minnesota had more than 53,000 fans come watch the Gopher Volleyball team in 2012, the third highest attendance in the country, according to the NCAA.

This is the second consecutive season Minnesota has ranked third in attendance  Only Hawaii and Nebraska have a greater total attendance than the Gophers.

Over the last six years, the Gophers have averaged more than 4,000 fans at each home match, according to Gopher Sports.
