The Gophers are winning at half-time against the Northwestern Wildcats at Welsh-Ryan Arena, 27-24.

Trevor Mbakwe is leading Minnesota with seven points but the Gophers are shooting 30 percent as a team.

Northwestern is hitting 47 percent of their shots but are 7-of-15 from the charity stripe.

The Wildcats have only shot the ball 17 times compared to 30 attempts by the Gophers — but that is due to Minnesota being bigger and stronger around the rim.

Minnesota has 23 rebounds, 13 of them offensive. Wildcats have 10 rebounds altogether.

Jared Swopshire is leading the Wildcats with 10 points and a rebound and is seemingly single-handedly keeping the Wildcats in the game.

Gophers need to come back strong in the second-half otherwise Northwestern can win this game.
