Eliason returns home as Gophers travel to Lincoln

Coming off wins against Indiana and Penn State, the Minnesota Golden Gophers will play the Nebraska Cornhuskers Wednesday evening in Lincoln.
The Gophers beat Nebraska earlier in the season at Williams Arena, 84-65, and there’s little indication that this game will be any different than the first meeting.
Minnesota is finishing off their regular season schedule with a head full of steam coming off emotional back-to-back wins. Nebraska, on the other hand, is coming off back-to-back losses against Wisconsin and Illinois.
Sophomore Elliott Eliason, a Chadron, Neb. native, will play in Nebraska for the second time in his collegiate career.
Eliason is expected to have his own cheering section at the Devaney Center Wednesday evening with upwards of 20 family and friends attending despite his hometown being located more than 400 miles away.
The 6-foot-11 center recently had one of the best games in his career against No. 1 Indiana while matching up in the post with Cody Zeller. Eliason scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in the contest.
Eliason scored six points and recorded four rebounds last year against Nebraska in Lincoln in a Gophers victory.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted on BTN.
