The winning streak continues as the Gopher women’s hockey team beat North Dakota at home Saturday 2-0 to claim the WCHA Final Face-Off trophy for the second straight year.

Minnesota beat N0. 7 North Dakota on second period goals by Megan Bozek and Maryanne Menefee — scored less than two minutes apart.

Goaltender Noora Raty was the difference in the match up, stopping 30 shots on net en route to her 43rd career shutout and 111th career victory, all NCAA records.

Raty, tournament MVP, is riding a five-game shutout streak heading into the NCAA quarterfinals next weekend.

Hannah Brandt, Menefee, Bozek and Raty were named to the all-tournament roster, according to Gopher Sports.

The Gopher women have not lost a game since losing to North Dakota in February of 2012. Since then, they have only played one overtime game en route to 46-straight wins and a perfect 38-0-0 record this season.

Brackets for the NCAA Tournament next weekend will be announced Sunday afternoon.
