Pitino extends offer to 2014 Wisconsin recruit Sandy Cohen

Richard Pitino and the Gophers have made an offer to Sandy Cohen, a three-star recruit from Seymour, Wis.
At 6-foot-5 and 180 lbs, Cohen is a lanky point guard who had only only four offers from low-major teams heading into this past weekend. By Monday, the Class of 2014 recruit had received offers from Memphis and Marquette in addition to the Gophers.
On Saturday at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League in Hampton, Va., Cohen’s Wisconsin Playground Elite squad beat Tyus Jones’ Howard Pulley team on Cohen’s 24 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Listed as a point guard, Cohen would be a better two guard than playing as the primary ball-handler.
