Gophers land TE recruit from Wisconsin
By Frank Bi
Class of 2014 recruit Gaelin Elmore of Somerset, Wisc. will reportedly sign with the Gophers, according to ESPN.
Elmore had offers from Iowa State, Michigan State, Nebraska and Wisconsin in addition to Minnesota. And despite making recent visits to Michigan State and Ohio State, the three-star tight end from across the river will suit up for Jerry Kill’s Gophers in the fall.
At 6-foot-5 and 243 pounds, Elmore runs a 4.9 40-yard-dash and will be a solid addition to Kill’s roster. He is the third best recruit in Wisconsin, according to Rivals, and the whiff by the Badgers makes this signing even sweeter for Gopher fans.
Elmore is Minnesota’s fourth commitment of the 2014 recruiting class.
