Ex-Gopher Humphries returns to campus

Almost a decade removed from his only year as a Golden Gopher, former Hopkins High School standout and current Brooklyn Nets power forward Kris Humphries made an appearance at the Bierman Field Athletic Building Tuesday night.

Humphries shot hoops with Rodney Williams and friends according to Twin Cities Starlight. Gopher women’s hockey player Maryanne Menefee snapped a picture and posted it to Twitter yesterday evening.

While the veteran Humphries has already played 10 years in the NBA, he’s most well-known for his marriage and subsequent divorce with Kim Kardashian.

Humphries was Mr. Basketball in high school and played one year for the Gophers before being drafted 14th overall in 2004 by the Utah Jazz.
