Class of 2014 recruit Rashad Vaughn cut his list to 11 teams on Wednesday and Richard Pitino’s Gophers made the cut.
The five-star recruit and overall top shooting guard in his class, transferred from Robbinsdale-Cooper High School in New Hope, Minn. to attend Findlay Prep in Nevada for his senior year.
Among the final 11 teams vying for his talents in a year, a few are considered front-runners, including Minnesota, North Carolina and Kentucky.
Before he cut his list, Vaughn had more than 24 offers to choose from. The schools that did not make this cut included Florida, Syracuse, Maryland and Wisconsin.
