Redshirt freshman Mitch Leidner will get the start over sophomore quarterback Philip Nelson on Saturday versus the Michigan Wolverines.
Leidner is 12-of-20 with 176 yards passing this season. Additionally, he has 251 yards rushing and five rushing touchdowns through four game appearances, including a start against San Jose State two weeks ago.
Nelson, who struggled against Iowa last week after returning from a hamstring injury, is suited up against Michigan.
In other quarterback news, freshman third-string Chris Streveler is out against the Wolverines after suffering a hand injury in practice this week.
