Don Lucia and the Gophers have lost a second player in as many months as sophomore forward Christian Horn has decided to leave the team to join Tri-City of the USHL.
A graduate of Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Horn holds the school records for goals and assists. But Horn never got a chance to play for the Golden Gophers and was unlikely to crack the lineup in his second year.
Horn’s departure comes a month after freshman defenseman Tommy Vannelli announced that he was leaving the team after struggling to balance academics and athletics.
