Ex-Gopher Eric Decker has career game for Broncos

If there’s a football player in this world that’s living a fairy tale life, it’s Denver Broncos wide receiver and ex-Gopher Eric Decker. The 26-year old Cold Spring, Minn. native is married to country music singer Jessie James, has his own TV show, and catches passes on Sundays from Peyton Manning.
On Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, Decker had the best game of his career, catching four touchdown passes en route to 174 yards receiving — a career high. The Broncos won the game, in large part due to Decker’s efforts and are quickly emerging as the top dog in the AFC.
Decker is projected to have the best season of his career this season and already has 63 receptions for 973 yards and seven touchdowns. He had his first 1,000 yard receiving season last year — in his third professional season — when he caught 85 passes for 1,064 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Drafted by the Broncos in 2010 with the 87th overall pick, he caught 228 passes for 3,119 yards and 24 touchdowns in four years as a Gopher, despite injuries in his senior year.
