2. WR KJ Maye
Maye led the Gophers with four receptions (on nine targets) for 73 yards and a touchdown against TCU, though he did have a couple drops in the game. Leidner has shortcomings throwing the ball that can’t be avoided, but Maye’s role as a (hopefully) reliable target will be important. His catch or target volume does not necessarily need to be noteworthy, but Maye needs to come through in critical situations against Colorado State to keep Minnesota’s offense rolling.
