1. Minnesota QB Mitch Leidner

A quarterback change seems closer than ever for the Golden Gophers, as Leidner continues to be unimpressive and at best inconsistent. A post-game apology to head coach Jerry Kill after the narrow victory over Kent State only goes so far, and that sentimentality was hopefully dismissed quickly.

It’s time for Leidner to step up and make a strong case to remain the starter, with the start of the conference schedule coming when the calendar flips to October.
