5. Minnesota P Peter Mortell
Mortell is third in the Big Ten with a 44.1 yard punting average, with a long of at least 51 yards in three of Minnesota’s four games. The Golden Gophers’ chances to win on Saturday will be tied in part to the field position battle, and Mortell will be the key cog in that effort. His role as the holder on field goals, in what could be tough field conditions in Evanston, will also be a hidden factor for Minnesota.
