Brooks saw the first real action of his career last Saturday against Ohio, and he came through with 10 carries for 82 yards and two touchdowns (including the game-winner). The true freshman is clearly second in Minnesota’s running back pecking order, behind Rodney Smith, but if Brooks makes the most of his opportunities the chances for an upset will improve greatly.
