The 2015 battle for Floyd of Rosedale will come Saturday night, as the Minnesota Golden Gophers (4-5) will travel to Kinnick Stadium to take to the 9-0 Iowa Hawkeyes.
Here is your game guide for Saturday night’s contest, which is scheduled to kickoff just after 7 p.m. Central Time.
Point Spread: Iowa (-9.5)
Over/Under: 45.5
TV: Big Ten Network
Announcers: Kevin Kugler (play-by-play), Matt Millen (analyst)
Radio (Minnesota)-KFAN-FM, 100.3-Gopher Radio Network (KFAN.com)
Announcers: Mike Grimm (play-by-play), Darrell Thompson (analyst), Justin Gaard (sideline)
Radio (Iowa)-1040 AM-WHO
It’s no surprise the No.5-ranked Hawkeyes are favored in this game, though the point spread has come down a full three points since opening earlier in the week. The over/under has also come down since opening, but only a single point. If I were betting, I would take the Gophers to cover and the under on the over/under.
The Big Ten Network audience will be subjected to Millen’s musings in the booth as an analyst, at which point knowledgeable fans will probably believe they could do his job better. That said, Kugler is a excellent play-by-play guy and hopefully he can offset Millen’s shortcomings.
